Our annual community assembly was held this last Sunday, 10 November.
After the Matins and Divine Liturgy, as usual, we gathered in our church hall for a chat, a bite of pita and cake prepared by our lovely sisters from the Circle, but we also had some business to do afterwards.
Our annual assembly is the legislative body that appoints the new church community board every year, decides on important matters regarding our church community and server as a forum for parish members to get involved.
Our Dean, Fr Milorad, opened the assembly with a prayer and Scripture reading, setting the tone for the discussion that followed. Our priests, Fr Milorad, Fr Petar and Fr Bogdan submitted their overall reports to the assembly for the last year. Individual board members - President, Treasurer etc. - provided specific detail in their domain.
The community board for 2025 have been refreshed with some new members and positions, which we will announce in due course, after Metropolitan confirmation and after the members take the oath of service in the following weeks.
